Your blog has been a huge help and I just wanted to say thank you. We relocated here six weeks ago from Minneapolis and we sold our furniture on craigslist before we left town and have used your blog to track down furniture for our new place here in Sac. its great to be able to find so many great mid century modern pieces and much of it through your direction. Now we just need your cup cake recipe;)Thanks again,Arin and Chrissy
Our dear readers Arin and Chrissy love cupcakes, too. Per their request I typed up the recipes for the Mimomito cupcakes that were photographed a few posts down. Enjoy!
Oh, and please make sure you guys send us photos of your coolest Mid-Century designed cupcakes.
I used the recipe from my favorite cookbook:
Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C or gas mark 4). put liners in muffin tins. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Create a well in the center of your dry ingredients, and add the vanilla, oil, vinegar, and water. Mix until just combined. Pour into your prepared pan, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Cool completely before frosting with Buttercream Frosting.
