About
Mid-Century Modern in Mid Town
ORIGIN STORY
A group of friends in Sacramento that found out about each others’ Mid-Century furniture obsession and started sending Craigslist links to one another – and cluttering up the walls of Facebook with ads about couches and coffee tables. We’ve honed and concentrated our powers into this blog to surface great furniture in and for the Sacramento community.
HOW TO USE MIMOMITO
You don’t buy the furniture – we do all the scouring and searching for Mid Century furniture so you don’t have to. We are constantly updating the blog with updates from Craigslist and around town at different Thrift Stores. If we post items from Craigslist, click the links after the photo to see the original ad for purchasing information. Keep checking back with us regularly – sometimes one day’s updates can span 3 pages back into our history!

This is fantastic! I just stumbled upon this blog and LOVE it. I will just check this until I can find my student-economically-priced-drawer/cabinet-credenza. Thanks.
Heya! I was buzzin through the blog, and noticed the writeup of our Overman couch & chair on CL, then further in another entry on Renee’s couch. HA! Then I put 2 and 2 together to equal…4 or something.
Anyway, I met you at the COTL Saturday night party a few weeks ago. Me any my buddy Gabe run midcenturymobler.com out of a garage up in upper market. check it!
The saturday night party was.. a flurry if flurrious flurrying. I can’t say I remember! Are you guys moped + midcentury enthusiasts as well? There are a lot of us as it seems.
You guys have picked up some AMAZING stuff, might I ask how you get ahold of it? Estate sales, craigslisting, old fancy relatives?
Haha it was a blur indeed. I’m sure you’ve heard of me before tho. I used to date Kelly (who’s now Franta’s new roomie).
Me and Gabe both have Magnumbs. I don’t know what it is about mid-century and mopeds either. Two totally different eras, but for some reason they go hand in hand.
We get most of our stuff from estate & garage sales outside the city, which can be super time consuming, but totally worth it when you hit 1960′s garage sale gold.
How long have you guys been doing the blog for? I think it’s great!
Do you go mostly the estate sales on the peninsula or do you dabble in Marin county? I imagine there are some INSANE estate sales up in Marin, old rich professors leaving houses of old books and delicious furniture nestled away in some redwoods ripe for the pluckin’..
The blog is still in its infancy, we started it a few months ago and it has grown exponentially. It was just Rose and me at first, then Toni joined us recently.
Do you flip the furniture, do any restoration or is it just straight resale? I’d love to know more about your business you can shoot me an e-mail if you want to keep your business secrets mo’ “secretive” theserene@gmail
