San Francisco: MCMF dealer.

31 Oct

Looking at the Bay Area craigslist I came across Midcentury Modern Finds out of San Francisco. They have an incredibly extensive collection, and VERY REASONABLE prices! Also a well-organized and easy to navigate website with full descriptions of every piece (as a web designer, I appreciate these things). Everything looks in great condition and is priced to sell. Here are some of my favorite pieces they currently have available.

$180.00 Vintage Mid-Century Star Burst Clock by United with Battery Mechanism

$200.00 Vintage Mid-Century Knoll Saarinen Executive Task Chair

$150.00 Mid-Century Rocker

$700.00 Vintage Mid-Century Modern Wall Unit

Around Town: Off the wire!

31 Oct

My boyfriend was running to different thrift stores in search of the perfect accessories for his Lil’ Wayne costume and sent me photos of some rad finds.

This desk was sold, but was $15.00 at the SPCA Thrift Store!

This shelf was being sold for 65.00 at the Salvation Army on 16th Street. Was not sold as of yesterday afternoon. Everything was 50% off, maybe it’s a weekend sale that could still be going on now!

Craigslist: Credenza 100.00-Sacramento

31 Oct

Walnut credenza looks like a big hunk of wood.
Pictures on craigslist though can sometimes be decieving. Like I imagine that teak wall unit I posted awhile ago (for 200.00 *LE SIGH) was gorgeous despite the grainy photo. If you got the time and something looks potential go check it out. There aint no harm in a no thanks.

Craigslist: DUX side table 100.00-Sacramento

31 Oct

Ever since Serene got that great looking Dux chair my eyes pop out and ears perk up when the name comes my way. These folks made some gorgeous crap dudes.
Not only does this table appear to be in some magnificent looking wood it is also the shape of pizza. Even better than pizza-Babybel cheese.
