Craigslist: Cubby Credenza – Hand Made!

11 Nov

Wowzers, good job to whoever made this! Master Crafter.

This mid-century modern inspired credenza is a hand-crafted replica an item featured in Todd Oldham’s book “Hand Made Modern.”

It is constructed of 3/4 inch plywood and has three coats of polyurethane for durability and smooth finish.

The hairpin legs add a modern touch while the walnut trim contrasts with the wood tone. The center features a pull out drawer for extra storage of
dvd’s, cd’s, etc.

It measures 48 inches wide, by 14 inches deep and 30 inches tall.

$77.00 in Sacramentoezies. (Original Post)

Some of you have kids though…or tiny apartments? Or you just need something that is freaking adorably aged? This desk is selling for 25.00 in Marysville.

Community: This weekend! The Sacramento Antique Faire

11 Nov

This Sunday is the Sacramento Antique Faire. I still have yet to shell out my hard earned $3.00 for the entrance fee and go, but maybe you all have some feedback for newcomer to the Sacramento area Arin, who asks:

Being new to the area we wanted to ask you about the antique show this weekend, wondering do we need to be there at opening in hopes of finding decent pieces before dealers buy them, and we actually don’t know if it is a good place to find MCM items. Can you give us any idea of what to expect or if its worth attending?

I know a few of you Mimomito watchers had commented and mentioned some of the good and the bad aspects of the Antique Faire – but what advice do you have on this matter? Waste of time or great place to snack on some kettle corn and then touch some priceless antiques?

GIT’R’DONE: Terrariums

If you’ve been thrifting for awhile you have probably noticed the delightful amount of Coffee Pot Decanters that you come across. Then after this beautiful recognition there is this other heart breaking realization that possibly you will not know what to do with them. You’ve already got a fancy tea-pot/beverage vessel that serves your guest. (DILEMA! Nah nah we got this)
