Running around all weekend..

21 Nov

Lots of thrifting and scrambling about. Had the day off on Friday, so went out for the day to stock up on a few items to open up my newly-made Etsy store. So gassed up Volvo and Yelp app on the ol’ iPhone in hand (location search term set to “Thrift Stores”) we set out. Adventures ensued as such..

Thrift Town, Stockton Blvd.

Didn’t see a price tag on this one.

A cute little dresser, but had a paint chip on the top right yellow drawer. Don’t remember the price exactly but was under $50.

Matching credenza.

Chris shows his appreciation for the arts. Santa in a box is pleased.

Scored out on a goodie bag of tags which are already half gone and used in my flurry of excitement to wrap presents…!

“Thrift Store”, Fruitridge Blvd.

Not a lot of furniture, but found some nice dishes.

Midtown Furniture Co.

Pretty water damaged for $80, but this place is worth going to for that big old floppy faced dog that wanders around in there.

Antique Store, Richards Blvd. area

$450 dinette set.

Mostly older era furniture.. and lots and lots of DOLLS. Rooms of them. There was even a room that had a TV in it that I think was specifically for the 3 foot doll on the chaise lounge.

Thrift Town, El Camino

Nice little set.

Goodwill, Arden area

Not terribly much there.. but, there was this. So..

“Thrift Store” on Auburn Blvd.

A bit rough around the edges, but it was around $35. And I bet you that includes the Spongebob sticker.

Eco Thrift on Auburn Blvd.

Do NOT go searching in the front dishware area, so spendy! This was $30. C’mon now..

$14.00 for a set of 4.

Mary’s Thrift Store, Auburn Blvd.

Not a fantastic selection but yes, cookies are a joy.

Etsy store? Yes please. I rely on you to do my hunting for me.

Right now my etsy store is just a “test run,” I want to start selling more hand-made items in the future instead of vintage breakables. But now that I’m already on etsy, I keep looking at things I want to buy rather than trying to sell stuff!

ha! sun tea jars, you can’t have too many of them. and by that i mean you always have too many of them.

how about we do an actual tutorial, a step-by-step “how to” of how to make ’em. i have the materials and i have a camera, and probably too many terrariums.
